Let the fun begin. Trained pastry chef Dorothy Benner will teach young chefs ages 8-16 how to ice a cake in this hands-on class. And, yes!, this mother of four is more than ready to teach cake icing to a group of younger ones! Remembering her experiences when she first started learning to decorate a cake, Dorothy will teach how to ice a sunflower cake. Everyone will ice a cake. Of course, taking home the final masterpiece will be part of the fun.
All cake layers, icing, material, and equipment (tips, icing bags, etc. no electrical equipment is involved) will be provided. Also, aprons!
What to expect:
Class will run about 2 hours.
Students will be standing for a significant portion of class. Closed toed and comfortable shoes are recommended.
Long hair should be pulled back.
Students will receive a coupon good for 10% off in-store purchases the day of class and the following day.
