“Convergence: Explorations of thread on canvas, 2020-2021” highlights JoAnn McGranahan’s beautiful, playful, and contemplative embroidery on canvas
Artist Statement:
Working with traditional embroidery techniques, l aim to use thread in ways that twist that tradition. I use thread on canvas the same way one would use pencil or charcoal on paper; creating marks and lines that evoke drawings, sketches, or even paintings.

JoAnn will be with us 5-8pm for an Artist Reception, but her pieces will be in The North Wing Gallery of our taproom all month long!
